This is the only page on this website that is not proven fact.  No physical records have been located to verify that the Beauchamp women, Esther, Marguerite and Rose (the daughters of Jean Baptiste Beauchamp and Agathe Morin) are Metis.  There is, however, visual and verbal information that makes a strong case for them to definitely be Metis.

This information has come by the traditional Native method.  Stories handed down from generation to generation.  The lack of a French Canadian record should not alter truth.  It comes down to "do you believe the story or not"?
